Felicia and Justin’s Clearwater Beach Hilton wedding was bright, happy and fun reflecting the bride, groom, and their friends and family perfectly.  A unique cloud cover gave us a distinctive, soft light sunset that is rare to see and made for some nice sunset images.  The outdoor reception was exceptionally classy and the entire event coordinated to perfection by Jamie with Confetti Events. Brooke and Jeff’s Sandpearl resort wedding onClearwaterBeachwas a windy but beautiful day with bright blue sky’s. There was such a strong family element on both sides for this event, it was more like a family get together with a wedding ceremony.  Lots of happy friends, down to earth family, and excited kids, creating all kinds of little moments during the day. Whitney and Will are the first couple to have their wedding at the new Clearwater Promenade location. Located on the water under the Clearwater bridge by the Harborview Center, it was a perfect evening following their wedding ceremony at the Clearwater Episcopal Church of the Ascension. A stunning fireworks surprise for the couple was arranged and was an incredible addition and highlight to finish the day. Crystal and Dave’s Don Cesar destination wedding started out with some cloudy skies and ultimately a re-location of the beach ceremony and reception due to the weather. I reminded Crystal that often after a Florida storm passes we can get some of the most incredible sunsets imaginable and that was exactly what happened.  During the semi covered ceremony the wind and rain came actually blowing off Crystal’s veil to be caught by a guest.  I was most impressed with the bridal party who stood unflinching through the ceremony and ended up quite wet. The day turned out to be spectacular as with the rain brought a few stories for a lifetime and an far above average Florida sunset. Below are a few favorites and a slide show. I still remember meeting with Elizabeth in our consult and talking about her Don Cesar wedding well over a year ago. She had impeccable notes, tons of research done and  asked insightful questions. She also mentioned she just hired a planner and I remember thinking that this wedding was beyond important to her based on how much work she had already put in.  All that preparation was then kicked up a notch with Jackie from table six productions making it an unforgettable event.   There was a glamour/celebrity feeling around Elizabeth the entire day. From her stunning Rosa Clara wedding dress to decor it was a special feeling to document and be part of such a special wedding.  Elizabeth and Chris scrapped a slow first dance and entertained everyone better than a dancing with the stars show. There were twists and turns and lifts and it was a real challenge to keep up with them as well as a relief to see a few sharp images on my monitor days later. Danielle and Liam’s destination wedding at the St. Petersburg FL Don Cesar resort was a testament to how well liked this couple is. Guests and wedding party members came as far as the UK, Austrailia and Columbia. It was a lot of fun to be part of this relaxed wedding surrounded by warm and friendly people. Kate and Jamie’s Palma Ceia Country Club wedding was what all great weddings are about, good friends and family coming together for a great couple. It was best summed up by an epic speech from her father who proudly talked about the immediate and extended family being all “good people” who have raised “good people” and continue to pass on their values. While shooting Kate getting ready in their home I was surrounded by his intimidating fine art landscape photography which I had to keep pulling myself away from to focus on the bride. Rob and Ainsley’s Sandpearl wedding on Clearwater Beach was a great way to start of the 2012 season for me.  Rob’s smile and Anisley’s happiness was infectious and unrelenting for the entire day.  Below are a few favorites and the slide show. It was great to meet Edee and Michael and take a few engagement images in Clearwater at Sand Key Park. These two definitely belong in front of the camera and their wedding in Ft. Meyers is one of many of my most anticipated events for 2012.

I don’t think I will ever forget Kira and Jon’s Don Cesar Wedding. The way Kira appreciated and savored every moment, every transition, every step throughout the entire day was unusual to witness. Some weddings seem to just fly by and are over before you know it. Kira was ‘in it” every minute, all day. Despite the wrong shirt being delivered (twice!) Jon was never without a smile all day.  A few of my favorite images are below. Special thanks Weddings by Georgia who designed, planned and orchestrated a perfect day with class and elegance.
